It was established in 2005 and is affiliated to the University of Calicut and recognized by the NCTE as per order No.F.KL/SEC/N/242/SRO/NCTE/2004-2005/785 dt.23/02/05.

The College is housed in a spacious multistoried complex on a large campus on the Gudalur-Ootty road, just one kilometer from the Town. There are hostels for men and women students run by the college.
